Community Outreach

Hesed House

More than thirty years ago, leaders of 6 Aurora churches committed to provide a “port in the storm” for homeless individuals and families.

The Annunciation Church community supported this organization as it evolved into a dynamic ministry that provides shelter from the elements, food, clothing, and essential support services to those in desperate situations.

Hesed House sees sixteen newly homeless individuals each week; that’s one new homeless individual every 10 ½ hours. The comprehensive support services result in successfully transitioning almost twenty individuals out of homelessness each week.
