Welcome to Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church
Since 1875, this beautiful, Gothic-style stone Catholic Church in Aurora, Illinois – with its soaring steeple and pealing bells – has welcomed members home for a deeply spiritual experience of faith and life. The mission and ministries of the church echo the example of Mary, the Blessed Virgin, who became a vehicle of grace during her miraculous experience. Mary is our first disciple, our model of grace, who delivered Jesus our Savior to the world.
Annunciation welcomes our members into a community of faith with a Christ-centered, genuinely welcoming experience. Whatever brings you to our church, you are always welcome to our blessed home!

Mark your calendars! The Luminary Mass is Wednesday, October 11 at 7:30 pm (rain date is Oct 12th). Envelopes to purchase luminary bags are available in the back of church, at the rectory, and at the school office. Completed envelopes can be turned in during the offertory collection or to the rectory or school offices. Please turn in envelopes as soon as possible so committee members can begin preparing the luminary bags.
This special event is not possible without the help of many volunteers. If you are willing to volunteer with set up on the day of the Luminary Mass or clean up the day after the event, please contact Julie Cibulskis at (630) 363-7073 or jcibulskis@hotmail.com.
