Welcome to Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church

Since 1875, this beautiful, Gothic-style stone Catholic Church in Aurora, Illinois – with its soaring steeple and pealing bells – has welcomed members home for a deeply spiritual experience of faith and life.  The mission and ministries of the church echo the example of Mary, the Blessed Virgin, who became a vehicle of grace during her miraculous experience. Mary is our first disciple, our model of grace, who delivered Jesus our Savior to the world.

Annunciation welcomes our members into a community of faith with a Christ-centered, genuinely welcoming experience.  Whatever brings you to our church, you are always welcome to our blessed home!

Parish Info and Updates

Dispensation for Mass Attendance ends July 1st

As of July 1, the dispensation to be able to refrain from coming to Masses on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, because of the pandemic, has been lifted.  However, those who find themselves fearful or medically vulnerable to the effects of COVID must use their consciences for any decision about attending Mass or continuing to follow it virtually.

Resurrection Choir

Here at Annunciation Parish we have a loving group of singers called the Resurrection Choir that are present at funerals to help support the congregation in song. We are open to new members! If you have just retired, found yourself in a flexible work schedule, or are free to share an hour when necessary, please join us!

Please direct any and all questions to Pat Doctor (630) 310-2233 or patriciadoctor@gmail.com
