Father Patrick was ordained to the priesthood in 2003, after studies at St. Meinrad College Seminary and Mundelein Seminary. Originally from Allentown, PA, Father Patrick did undergraduate work in both Mathematics and Spanish and subsequently taught those subjects at Marmion. He also has special expertise in computer technology. Father Patrick is a musician, a student of popular culture and has a fondness for languages.
Deacon Dom was ordained in 2016. Married to Gisele for over 39 joy-filled years, they have been blessed with three wonderful children and four beautiful grandchildren. Born in Chicago, Dom worked for 35 years as an engineer at AT&T Bell Labs. Annunciation parish with it’s beautiful architecture and welcoming people became a spiritual family and home for Dom after moving to Aurora in 1999. Deacon Dom is an avid photographer and golfer, serving the parish in Homebound, Finance, Stewardship and Evangelization ministries.
Ken has been married for thirty-two years and counting to his wife Judy. Together, they have eight sons, five daughters and five grandsons who have helped him to learn the true definitions of family, love and service. Through his responsibilities and service to the parish, Ken continues to learn and grow in appreciation of the sacraments with a special appreciation for baptism and first communion. Since his conversion to the Catholic Church, 33 years ago, he grows more and more in his love of the Catholic faith and his service to his fellow man.
Mary has worked in parish ministry for almost 30 years and enjoys every aspect of her job. In addition to her position as business manager, Mary is the Director of Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and also serves as a Catechist in the Religious Education Program.
Mark has been a catechetical leader in the Rockford Diocese since 2001, arriving at Annunciation in July of 2011. In addition to the Religious Education Program, Mark is involved in youth ministry at Annunciation and the Aurora Deanery and assists in the parish RCIA program and the Camp Rock junior high youth summer camps. Mark enjoys working with parents, assisting and supporting them in challenges they may face in faith formation.
Melissa has been married 12 years & has 5 wonderful blessings, her children: 3 girls & 2 boys. Currently, she resides in Montgomery, but is still an Aurora resident in her heart. She attended catholic schools all her life, including St. Therese School and ACC High School. Thanks to her parent’s faithful involvement in their parish, Melissa has helped in parish life since she was born, serving in various ministries including choir, lector, catechist/aide, parish secretary, and RE secretary.
Lee has lived in Aurora her entire life and attended St. Peter Grade School and Aurora Central Catholic High School. She is married with two grown daughters and three grandchildren.
Jessica has been married for over 20 years and has two children, one who attends Annunciation school and another, who is a boxer dog. Her daughter has attended Annunciation since preschool. She feels blessed to be a part of the Annunciation family.
Jane was employed by the City of Aurora as a 911 operator, supervisor, and command staff secretary for 18 years. Following that, she was a stay-at-home mom for several years raising her 4 children, before joining our staff in 2014. Jane’s favorite task is meeting with families to assist with pre-planning arrangements.
Patricia Doctor has been directing Jr. choirs for area churches since 1992, joining Annunciation in 2010. Pat has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bradley University in Peoria, IL and a Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. She worked as a full-time music educator in District 129 for 23 years. Pat continually enjoys “Making Joyful Noise unto the Lord!” Pat sings with the 10 am choir on Sundays, helped organize and when available sings with the Resurrection Choir and is a soloist for both funerals and weddings.
