Volunteers for Public Masses

Bishop Malloy has granted permission for churches in the Rockford Diocese to allow celebrating Mass with the faithful once more. Now that Masses have started again, we are looking for folks who would be willing to volunteer.

We’re looking for people specifically for two areas: 

Cleaning and “Greet&Seat.”

Cleaning may consist of spraying down the pews and sanitizing the bathroom, door knobs, etc. before each Mass.

Greet&Seat may consist of checking parishioners in at the door, showing them to their pew, facilitating the flow for Communion, and/or exiting the church after Mass. Mary Glosson and Jessica Zinken will be the coordinators of this task.

Note that per Diocesan guidelines, volunteers should not be in the vulnerable category of the COVID-19 symptoms (no underlying health problems, and preferably not 65 years of age or older).
